Secondary research looking at how therapy is perceived in our modern culture and what are the current overarching needs that therapy is solving.
Assumptions and Risks
That people are nervous about seeing a therapist, this is an area where it can be hard for people to admit they need to talk to someone and need help.
Finding competitors will be easy, there are tons of M.F.T’s spread across the US
Online and Zoom culture during the pandemic has eased people’s fears about talking to another person online in a delicate setting, which has expanded the market
Price point will be acceptable to the client.
Research Findings and Provisional Personas
Therapy has been changing rapidly in the last couple of years. expedited by the pandemic, more people are not only comfortable communicating online, but stresses and impacts created by Covid-19. Below looks at some of the big players and how they are providing services, as well as personas of some potential users.
James Worton: Creating a Persona
After extensive research into different therapy services, user behaviors and client needs it was time to take a more specific look at the user and try and get into their shoes.
Design
With the research in the rearview, and a good understanding of the clients needs and the market landscape it was time to start designing. The number of pages was minimal, and the major aspects of the design were to figure out the layout, copy, typography, and overall feel of the page. Focusing on simplicity and storytelling.
